The HMO Roadmap is the UK’s most comprehensive training platform, designed to help HMO property investors start, scale, and systemise their portfolios. Our mission is to improve the HMO industry and the wider Private Rented Sector (PRS) by providing valuable education, expert insights, and a supportive community.

Recognising the challenges new investors face, I’ve distilled my journey and learnings into this resource, offering the structure, clarity, and tools needed for long-term success in the HMO market. MEET ANDY GRAHAM

Hi there, I'm Andy Graham, the founder of The HMO Community and The HMO Roadmap, and host of The HMO Podcast!

My property investment adventure began back in 2009. With a blend of personal savings and a small loan from a family member, I purchased and transformed my first property into a five-bed HMO, which I still proudly own today. That first project ignited my passion for HMOs (the extra £2000 a month certainly helped), setting me on a property investment path that would ultimately change my life for the better.

Starting out, I faced many challenges due to the lack of support and resources. However, over the past 15 years, I've grown several multi-million pound HMO portfolios for myself and private investors, I founded and successfully exited one of the UK’s most successful HMO investment and management agencies, and I have managed thousands of tenants along the way.

My journey has led to several successful property ventures beyond HMOs, including commercial-to-residential developments, one of which won ‘Deal Of The Year’ in 2023.

After a decade of hands-on experience in property investing and understanding the challenges new investors face, I founded The HMO Roadmap in 2020. It quickly grew into the UK’s most comprehensive resource for HMO investors.

In 2024, The HMO Roadmap was honoured with the ‘Best Content Provider’ award and received a Highly Commended nod for ‘Best Mentor or Training Provider’ at the HMO Awards 23/24.
